Pulled Pork and Barbecue Sauce

I decided to use a Barbecue Sauce Recipe from the Cookidoo Sauce collection to accompany Pulled Pork tonight.
First I chopped the onions with butter and then cooked them for 5 minutes.
I then added the other ingredients and the sauce was cooked in 10 minutes and it was delicious with enough left over for another meal.

Here are the other ingredients weighed out while the onions were cooking in the butter.
This was then added to the mixing bowl.

The barbecue sauce with the meal. I cooked the Sweet Potatoes, Carrots and Green Beans in the Varoma and then mashed the sweet Potatoes with Butter and seasoning in the Mixing Bowl.

Chopping Fresh Herbs in the Thermomix

The Thermomix will chop fresh herbs in 7 seconds and not turn them into a sludgy mess.
I had a family pack of fresh Coriander from Morrisons that needed to be used up so I decided to chop it up fine and freeze it.

Broccoli and Cauliflower Au Gratin

We used to do this recipe as part of our Demonstration. First you make the Breadcrumbs in seconds.
Then you can steam the Cauliflower and Broccoli in the Varoma while you simmer some soup underneath. This used to be the Red Pepper and Tomato Soup.

Once the soup is cooked and creamed by the Turbo Function then you clean the mixing bowl and make the Bechamel Sauce.Sauces are amazing in the Thermomix as they are lump free and have an amazing texture.

Once the Vegetabes and Sauce have been placed in an oven proof dish then you spread the Bread Crumb mixture on top and bake it in the oven.

Hash Browns

The Everyday Cooking for Thermomix Families Book has a Recipe for Hash Browns.
First you chop the Potatoes for 3-5 seconds at speed 5 and then drain them in the Simmering Basket to remove excess liquid.
Meanwhile you chop Onion and Garlic and add Flour, Eggs, Salt and Pepper and combine them with the reserved Potato for 20 seconds/ Reverse/ Speed 4.
You then form them into patties and fry them.

Here they are before and after cooking. They went well with Sausage and Eggs.
