Jelly Bean Fudge

One of my customers recommended the Jelly Bean Fudge Recipe from "Keeper of the Kitchen"  HERE so I thouht that I would try it. I was not disappointed!
You grind 200g of White Chocolate and set it aside. I used two 100g packets of Milky Bar Buttons

You melt the other ingredients which include a Tin of Condensed Milk, Butter, Soft Brown Sugar and Golden Syrup for 28 minutes in the Thermomix.
Then you mix in the White Chocolate for 20 seconds on Reverse and then 100g of Jelly Beans for 10 seconds on Reverse.

Pour the mixture into a lined 8 x 8 tin and leave to set for 4 hours at room temperature or 2 hours in the fridge.
The only problem is that it is very hard to stop eating it. Definitely a recipe to make and give away as soon as possible so as not to put on too much weight!

Chelsea Buns

I found an amazing recipe for Chelsea Buns in Thermomix Baking Blogger's ebook called Home Baked. The Dough has a lot of butter in it but I rolled it out after it had doubled in size.

I added cinnamon sugar to one third of it as my youngest son said that he did not like raisins and currants. You roll the dough up to make a long sausage shape and cut it into 12 or 13 pieces.

You cover them with a clean tea towel for half an hour and then bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
I then made a white icing and poured it over the Buns while they were still warm.
Best eaten on the day that they are made.

Tomato and Lentil Soup

I found a recipe for Tomato and Red Lentil Soup in the "Everyday Cooking For Thermomix Families" Australian Cook Book. The first thing that you do when making this soup is grind the Lentils with 5 Peppercorns. This is what you get in 1 minute at speed 9.

As you can see from the above photo the ingredients come very close to the Max level.

The next photo shows you the ingredients after you have cooked them for 20 minutes.
The photo below shows the Soup when you have pulverised it at speed 9 for 1 minute.
It had a lovely creamy texture - as always with Thermomix soups that have been mixed at high speed at the end of cooking.

Five Seed Bread

I made Five Seed Bread from the Basic Cook Book this morning. It is a recipe from the Basic Cook Book that comes with the Thermomix. It is wet and sticky as you can see,
The quantity is too much for a 2lb tin so it is best to split it between a 2lb and a 1lb tin or get a 3lb tin!

You only let it rise once before baking it.
The loaf is flat on top but it has a delicious crust and a moist crumb. You feel very healthy when you are eating it!

Here is some sliced to whet your appetite.
