Thermomix Baking Blogger Wrap it up Webinar

Last Saturday I signed up for a Wrap it Up Webinar with Thermomix Baking Blogger. We were sent an ingredients list beforehand and the recipes. We made Tacos  and then Mexican Mince for the Burritos.

The Tortillas were suspended over an oven rack and then cooked in the oven for 25 minutes to become Tacos.
Next we cooked Coconut Wraps which we had mixed in the Thermomix earlier. Sorry to say that I don't have a photo of those but they were delicious.

We finished up with Guacamole and Mango Salsa (above) My Avocado was unripe so the Guacamole did not work out well.

Above is the Mexican Mince which had black Beans in it.
It was a great Webinar. We cooked so much in one hour and a half. Sophia gave us lots of helpful tips too.

Chopping Fresh Herbs in the Thermomix

The Thermomix will chop fresh herbs in 7 seconds and not turn them into a sludgy mess.
I had a family pack of fresh Coriander from Morrisons that needed to be used up so I decided to chop it up fine and freeze it.

Thermomix Sweet and Sour Chicken from Cookidoo

Having a Thermomix encourages you to try out new recipes so tonight I decided to cook Sweet and Sour Chicken from a Recipe Collection called One Pot Chicken on Cookidoo.
I weighed in 2 garlic cloves, Onions, Carrots and Peppers, Sunflower oil and chopped them at speed 5 for 5 seconds.

This was the result! I sauteed it and then added the other sauce ingredients before cooking it for 10 minutes.

Meanwhile I browned the Chicken Breast in a pan and then added the sauce to it while I steamed the Rice in the Thermomix.
In the recipe the Chicken Drumsticks and Rice are cooked with the other ingredients.
The meal was delicious and enjoyed by all the family.

Pitta Bread

I like to challenge myself to try out new recipes with the Thermomix so today I decided to make Pitta Bread. The Thermomix Baking Blogger version included Nigella Seeds but as I did not have those I decided to use Poppy Seeds instead.
I activated the Yeast, added the other ingredients, kneaded the dough for 2 minutes and then left it to rise for half an hour. All in the Thermomix.

I then rolled it out into oval shapes and put it in the oven for 10 minutes at 230c.

It puffed up nicely. I then put them on a cooling rack with a tea towel on top so that they would not dry out. We are going to eat these with home made Cream of Tomato Soup which I made yesterday in the Thermie!
