I got around to making Mincemeat, using my Father in Law's recipe, at the beginning of December.
The Thermomix made it all a lot easier as it finely chopped the Cooking Apples in seconds.
It was done and dusted in minutes and put in Kilner Jars to mature for at least a week.
I used the Pastry Recipe given in the Basic Cook Book for an Apple Pie. It was made in seconds and I did not even chill it in the fridge.
My husband was delighted as he loves these Mince Pies. That was all the affirmation that I needed.
I have made several batches since and might keep one of the three Jars of mincemeat until next year!
