Carrot and Coriander Soup with French Bread

I chose to make Carrot and Coriander Soup for lunch today because I had lots of carrots in the fridge.
I found the recipe on the Cookidoo platform in my Welcome Pack.
First you grind the lentils and lemon peel and then you chop the carrots, onions and butter.

You then add the stock and cook the soup before turboing it for a minute with some sprigs of coriander.

The texture was creamy as it always is when you turbo soup in the Thermomix. It tasted really good  on a hot summers day.

I also baked some French Bread to go with the soup.

Super Quick Chocolate Chip Cookies

These Cookies are super quick in the Thermomix.
First chop up pieces of chocolate, speed 7 for 5 seconds and set aside.
Then weigh in Butter, Sugar, Self Raising Flour, Condensed Milk and mix for 20 seconds at speed 4.
Add the chocolate chips and mix on reverse speed 3 for 10 seconds.
Form into small balls and place on a greased baking sheet before putting in the oven to bake.

Here they are half cooked in the oven.

Cooled and in the tin ready for eating. They don't last long in our house.

Steamed Eggs Sunny Side Up

They have a healthy method in the new "Great Taste at Every Level" book for steaming eggs. You first boil water in the mixing bowl for 5 minutes / 100c/ speed 1. Then you crack the eggs on to the Varoma Tray and cook them for 6 minutes / Varoma / speed 1.

They were delicious. What I would call a healthy fried egg although it was steamed!

Accompanied by the less healthy fried potatoes, bacon and buttered toast!
